Denver, Colorado- June 7, 2010-Mellow Mushroom will open its second Denver-area pizza restaurant on Monday, July 12 at Tabor Center on the corner of 16th Street and Lawrence.
Morris, Sharon, Shane Purcel, John Valentino, and Holly and Jason Griset, owners, of this Atlanta-based franchise are enthusiastic about bringing their second location in Colorado, to Tabor Center.
Morris Purcel, owner, explained why he wanted to bring this concept to Denver. “I chose Colorado as our Mellow Mushroom franchise territory since it was where our annual father-son trips were. We chose Denver because it has the largest population; and the population is made up of people who appreciate the Mellow Mushroom food and fun. Denver has a vibrant downtown and the 16th street Mall does not have another establishment like Mellow Mushroom—delicious, handmade, southern style, stone baked pizza; late night dinner; large, full service bar; nightly live entertainment; and heated and cooled covered patio. Downtown Denver is a happy place and Mellow Mushroom is a happy place—a perfect match.”
The Mellow Mushroom features a creative menu with a wide variety of pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones, and recently launched gluten-free dough. You can enjoy a creative atmosphere, along with full bar and 36 premium varieties of draft beer.
The Mellow Mushroom will operate 7 days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. The Mellow Mushroom company, was founded in 1974 in Atlanta, Georgia.
